Also included in the latest release of the JustWare is the EventEngine which allows events, documents, correspondence, case status changes, "tickler" files and reports to be linked and triggered by preceding events and administrator-set time criteria.
Version 4.5 further advances the unique financial tracking, allocation, and disbursement requirements that courts, prosecutors, and probation staff face.
"This release allows prosecutors, probation, public defenders and courts to completely define their individual JustWare solution to suit their own office function, workflow, procedures, documents and reporting requirements," stated Higgins.
New Dawn Technologies also released an add-on solution for JustWare users and the agencies that interact with JustWare users which provides Intranet or secure Internet access to agency-defined views of JustWare information.
The JusticeWebview application offers secure, agency-defined, web view access to any JustWare application.
"There are numerous practical reasons why our customers are interested in viewing JustWare information via the web. JusticeWebview provides a powerful tool that can be used for numerous applications. Law enforcement, jail staff, victims, witnesses and even the users of JustWare, such as attorneys and judges, can benefit from having secure and agency-defined views of JustWare," said Higgins.
Views of calendars, case status reports, personal task lists, criminal history information and event information for case participants can all be defined by the agency. It can also be securely accessed externally via the web.
Another add-on to any JustWare application is the BriefLink legal file, document and file searching application. BriefLink is a browser-based, indexing and searching component that allows attorneys, staff, judicial staff and investigators to construct detailed queries to search the historical documents, legal briefs and files that have been linked to cases throughout the office’s history.
"We have really tried to continue our emphasis on individual agency customization, while providing the advantages of an off-the-shelf solution, such as annual releases, exceptional support and a nationwide community of software users," said Higgins.
